Bottega Gadda:
A rebirth of craftsmanship and design

The light of Bottega Gadda shines once again. Thanks to the personal and professional bond with Silvio Gadda, the Ranza family is now carrying forward the legacy of one of Italy’s most fascinating artisanal workshops, bringing it back to life with respect and passion.

Founded in Milan by Carlo Gadda in 1970 and later led with dedication by Silvio Gadda and finally by Claudio Giannuzzi, Bottega Gadda has distinguished itself through the creation of timeless lamps, defined by refined aesthetics and impeccable craftsmanship. Collaborating with some of Italy’s most renowned designers, Bottega Gadda has masterfully blended tradition and innovation, becoming a benchmark in high-end lighting. Additionally, in 2015, it crafted all the brass lamps and objects for Senato Hotel Milano, shaping its elegant and timeless atmosphere.

As a tribute to the recent passing of Silvio Gadda, the Ranza family—by recovering Bottega Gadda’s historical archive and original molds, and with the collaboration of Alessandro Ciampone, the last apprentice—becomes the custodian of the brand’s heritage of design and craftsmanship.

The rebirth of the Rabarbaro Lamp by Carlo Giorgi

For Milan Design Week 2025, Bottega Gadda presents a special numbered re-edition of the iconic Rabarbaro lamp, designed by Carlo Giorgi in 1979 and one of the most emblematic pieces in the Bottega’s history.

Hand crafted with the same artisanal mastery that made Gadda’s work unique, this limited edition honors the essence of Italian design, reaffirming the timeless value of craftsmanship in today’s creative landscape.

Homage to tradition

This initiative celebrates the legacy of Silvio Gadda and Bottega Gadda, bringing renewed attention to a historic piece that has left its mark on Italian design.
